The guides at Canterbury Hunting Lodge want you to have the hunt of a lifetime! Located in the Black Belt Region of Alabama, we are well known for our impressive white tail deer feral hogs.
Our goal is to see that you have an unforgettable experience with our Southern hospitality and the friendly, relaxed atmosphere that you will find at Canterbury Hunting Lodge. There is no better place to share quality time with your family or friends than in the woods on a cool, crisp fall/winter morning!
We offer deer hunting in the fall/winter and wild boar hunting year round. If small game is your pleasure, you can combine the above with squirrels, rabbits, and racoons. Coyotes and bobcats have been known to show up on occasion, and we encourage our hunters to help with their removal.
We specialize in small groups of 4 to 6, with a minimum of 4, especially families. The lodge is a great place to introduce your son or daughter to hunting, and with over 1,300 acres of diverse habitat - ranging from recent clear cuts, pine plantation, swamplands and mature hardwood bottoms - they will have the time of their life exploring and learning from educated guides!
We have plenty of shooting houses on food plots and stands in wooded areas to choose from, so we can guarantee you’ll never get bored!

Lodging and Services
All of our hunting packages include lodging and meals, with an on-the-grounds butcher shop and meat processing. You are welcome to clean your own kills, or our guides can process them with an additional fee per animal.
Hog Processing Fee: $75 per hog
Deer Processing Fee: $50 per deer

Day Gun Hog Hunt: $400 per person, per day
Hog Hunting with Dogs: $500 per person, per day

Thermal Hog Hunts: $500 per person, per day (Thermal and gun included, you are welcome to bring your own.)
When you book your hunt, a partial non refundable deposit will be needed to hold your dates.
​Hog Management Rules:

There is no limit to the quantity and size of hogs harvested.

All packages include: Lodging, meals, transportation, use of our onsite meat cooler and storage of rack.
Deer Bow Hunts: $500 per person, per day
Deer Gun Hunts: $750 per person, per day
Doe Meat Hunts: $400 per person, per day
Onsite Deer Recovery Dog if needed!

When you book your hunt, a partial non refundable deposit will be needed to hold your dates.
​Deer Management Rules:

Only mature bucks with 8 points or more and a minimum rack width of 16 inches are eligible for harvest. Possible cull bucks may be available, ask your guides for more information.
You are allowed to take two unantlered deer per day, per person.
ONLY ONE ANTLERED DEER MAY BE TAKEN PER HUNT, PER HUNTER.
THE MANAGEMENT OF OUR DEER IS TAKEN SERIOUSLY TO HELP OUR FUTURE POPULATIONS AND BIG BUCK GENETICS. HARVESTING DEER OUTSIDE OF OUR MANAGEMENT GUIDELINES CAN RESULT IN A $1500 FINE.
